With a few days of rest since their return from Mombasa on Monday, fatigue is a concern but not a hindrance as they prepare for ‘Varsity Derby’ against University of Nairobi (UON) Terror on Saturday at Nyayo Gymnasium, Nairobi.
"It is a crucial game for us. We’re up against a strong Terror team—they play well, and we respect their quality. That said, we’ve also been preparing thoroughly. I know there’s some fatigue within the squad, especially since we only just got back on Monday.
“But we’ve worked on the mistakes we made in Mombasa, and the team has shown good focus in training. We’re pushing hard to make sure that by Saturday, we’re fully ready. We're going in with one goal: to win. We’re hopeful and determined, and we trust in our preparation.”
ANU Wolfpacks, who will be winding up their regular season games this weekend, have so far played 21 matches, winning seven and losing 14 with 28 points.
UON Terror, who have two games remaining have so far played 20 matches, winning eight and losing 12 with similar points as they chase playoff spot.
