All-Stars coach Bruno undeterred by pressure as league resumes
Kisumu All-stars head coach Carlos Bruno says he is undeterred by the pressure to start the New Year on a high when they take on Rainbow FC in National Super League fixture on Sunday at the Moi Stadium in Kisumu.
The Lakeside team is on a three-game winning streak and will be keen on carrying on with their pre-Christmas break form upon league resumption.
"There is no pressure, I always say I want to be able to handle the
pressure not the boys because my job is to prepare them and get them ready and
their job is to play, have fun and enjoy themselves,” stated Bruno.
"It's good for us to start the New Year with a win; we have to work hard
for that because we cannot underestimate Rainbow.
"They (Rainbow) are a good side and that day we need to put our strength on the table and use it because we have to be at our best," the tactician added.
With the January transfer window open, All-Stars' tactician says he is keen on bolstering
his squad options in their charge for promotion, especially in the offensive
department and midfield.
"We have sat down with the bench because we need to add players although I
don't always like signing players when the season is ongoing. But definitely
you will see a few players joining us, we are already having talks.”
All-Stars placed fourth on the log level on 27 points with Mara Sugar who have a superior goal difference and are six points adrift leaders Naivas FC.
