Ali impressed by Rangers players' attitude in daunting path

Posta Rangers head coach Salim Ali is impressed
with the attitude and the renewed resolve by the playing unit to improve their performance
since taking over from Stanley Okumbi last month.
Ali has overseen the team in two league matches, losing
3-1 to AFC Leopards last month before winning 1-0 against Talanta FC last
weekend, and Ali has attributed the winning to the hard work they put in
training urging them to maintain the standards as he eyes turnaround.
“They have been amazing to watch in training they
are disciplined and very committed to hard work, I am still trying to
understand the players but so far I love what I am experiencing with the team,”
said Ali.
Despite the win, the former Mathare United coach
says there is a lot to do for his charges to tick all the boxes.
“We are working to improve every department and
making the transition from defence to attack quick and when we get in front of
the goal convert the chances that we create that the most important thing at
the moment,” he added.
The Mail men, who are seventh on the log on 29
points, next face league leaders Kakamega Homeboyz on Saturday.
“They are on top of the table for a reason, they
never changed much of the team and added quality players upfront that is why
they are lethal in attack, and so we have to be ready for that.”
