Football Kenya Federation (FKF) Premier League club, AFC Leopards have signed four key partnerships for the 2024/2025 football season.

The deals with Mafro Sports, H-Paysa, NewTrends and Sporty H2O were inked in an event held in a city hotel on Wednesday.

Leopards will receive new kits for the season courtesy of Mafro Sports from Singapore.

The company will provide training, warm-up, and matchday wear for the men’s, women’s, and youth teams.

Shon Osimbo, Digital Marketing Executive at MAFRO Sports, has assured the fans that the kits will be of high quality and will arrive soon.

“We prioritize quality over speed. We’d rather delay delivery than compromise on the quality of the kits,” stated Osimbo.

Ingwe has also partnered with Sporty H2O as their official hydration partner.

Sporty H2O will provide hydration products during the team’s training, travels, and matchdays.

The company will also provide funding to the club through the sale of their products. For every 500ml bottle of beverage sold at a wholesale price of Kshs.40, Ingwe will get Ksh.2, while a liter bottle sold at Kshs.70 will see the club receive Kshs.4.

The other partner is H-Paysa, a platform that will enable fans to make donations directly to the club via their mobile phones through USSD, weblink, QR code, or the H-Paysa App.

Francis Njue, founder of H-Paysa, highlighted the platform's potential to enhance fan engagement and revenue generation.

“H-Paysa offers a seamless way for AFC Leopards supporters to contribute directly through their phones, providing the club with essential funds,” explained Njue.

The club also unveiled a partnership with a business and technology company, NewTrends, that will allow fans to donate airtime to support the team.

Peter Njigua from NewTrends encouraged supporters to use their platform, known as ‘Ingwe Damu’, to contribute airtime via USSD Code 35445#

“This airtime will significantly help the club finance its activities and acquire new players,” said Njigua.

AFC Leopards Chairman, Dan Shikanda, described the new partnerships as a game-changer.

“We are excited to introduce our new partners, whose support will be crucial in achieving our goals. These collaborations will elevate the club and help us advance to the next level,” said Shikanda.
