Equity Dumas head coach Zadock Adika is impressed with his
charges despite mixed results over the weekend in their Kenya National Men’s
Basketball Premier League (KNBL) outings
The bankers defeated USIU Tigers narrowly 84-82 on Saturday at
the Nyayo Gymnasium before losing 60-74 against giants Ulinzi Warriors at the
Ulinzi Sports Complex.
“It
was a good show despite the mixed reactions. We played so well, and we were able
to beat USIU in the game we were in control of, and indeed it was a good win,”
Adika said.
Adika has termed their loss to Ulinzi as a
learning experience, lauding his charges for their impressive exploits.
“Our
game against Ulinzi was a difficult one because we were all fighting for
position three or four in the regular league. It was a very important game for
both teams, and the fact that we lost the game doesn’t kill our morale,” Adika
added.
However, Adika is not giving up in their quest to finish in
the top three positions as the regular league nears its home stretch.
“We
win some and we lose some. We were on a six-game win, and I am very happy for
that run, and I hope as we wait for our last game before playoffs, we will be in
a better position,” Adika said.
Equity
