3K FC target APS Bomet's scalp in NSL encounter

3K FC’s assistant coach Moses Munene says they are riding on a four-match unbeaten run to edge out Bomet, who are seeking to solidify their bid to play in the top flight football next season after a recent slump.

Bomet, who are trailing leaders Nairobi United with three points albeit with one more match, have won once, three draws and a defeat in the last five matches.

“We have no pressure heading into the Bomet game. The boys have shown great resilience and consistency. With the kind of momentum we have, I’m confident we can walk away with maximum points,” said Munene.

3K FC are placed ninth in the second tier table with 38 points after 25 rounds.

3K FC, who are fast gaining a reputation for their disciplined style of play, will be looking to capitalize on their form to climb further up the NSL standings.

The upcoming tie against APS Bomet is expected to be a tough one, but Munene believes his players have what it takes to deliver when it matters most.

In addition to the on-field ambitions, Munene revealed that President William Ruto had made a significant promise that could impact the club’s future in a big way.

President Ruto pledged two million shillings to support the club's operations. According to Munene, this kind of financial backing, once realized, would be a huge boost to the technical staff and the entire squad.

The promised funds are expected to ease the club's logistical challenges, including travel expenses, player welfare, and training resources — areas that often hinder the performance of many lower-tier football teams in the country.
