3K FC implore FKF to crack the whip on rogue referees
National Super League side 3K FC assistant coach Moses Munene
has voiced his dissatisfaction with the officiating decisions made by the
referees during his team’s narrow 1-0 defeat to Kibera Black Stars in their
league fixture on Sunday at Moi Stadium in Embu.
According to Munene, the referee disallowed four legitimate goals scored by 3K, a decision he described as unfair and unjustified.
“We were the better side throughout the game, but
the officiating cost us dearly,” Munene told Citizen Digital.
“It’s disheartening for players to put in such a great effort
only to have it overshadowed by questionable refereeing decisions.”
Munene said they should have walked home with at
least a point from the game, calling for Football Kenya Federation (FKF) to crack
the whip on rogue officials.
Looking ahead to their upcoming fixture against
Darajani Gogo, Munene struck a confident tone, issuing a warning to their next
opponents.
“We cannot afford to lose two games in a row.
Darajani Gogo should prepare for a tough encounter,” he stated.
The tactician further expressed confidence in his
team’s ability to bounce back, citing their resilience and determination as key
factors.
He added that 3K has a strong track record of recovering from
setbacks, and this match would be no exception.
3K FC were left in the ninth position on the log
with 21 points in 15 matches, while Kibera Black Stars are third on the log
with 28 points from 15 outings.
