National Super League (NSL) side, 3K FC, have
blamed poor weather, a soggy pitch, and questionable officiating for their 3-2
loss to APS Bomet over the weekend.
Assistant coach Moses Munene pointed to
heavy rains that left the IAAF Bomet grounds in muddy condition,
hampering their style of play on Sunday.
“We lost the match due to poor playing surface of the IAAF pitch,
making it even worse with the bad weather condition and the rains. There
was also a case of poor
officiating but we can't blame anybody, that's football,” Munene
told Citizen Digital.
Despite the setback, Munene says the team
is moving on quickly and focusing on their next clash.
“We don't have anything to lose, what happened in Bomet is right
behind us. We're not fighting for the title nor trying to evade relegation.
We're taking our matches at a time and our main focus is on the next fixture
against Darajani Gogo,”
he added.
3K FC will face Darajani Gogo in their next NSL fixture.
