Woman charged with defrauding businessman Ksh.11 million in Kiambu

The accused, Hannah Wanjiru Waithaka, was arraigned before Kikuyu Magistrate Stella Kanyili.

She was charged that on March 1, 2024, with others not before the court, with intent to defraud, she obtained Ksh.11 million from James Muturi Kimani pretending that she was selling him a piece of land; Karai Gikambura 1048.

She denied the charges and was released on a bond of Ksh.1 million or Ksh.300,000 cash bail.

The magistrate directed the case to be mentioned on May 6, 2024, when the hearing date will be set.
