The United Democratic Alliance (UDA) party’s grassroots elections have concluded in Narok with Governor Patrick Ole Ntutu's team emerging victorious.

Ntutu secured the chairman's seat with 516 delegates against 84 delegates by his rival and Narok West MP Gabriel Tongoyo.

Speaking at the home of Ntutu where delegates drawn from the vast county converged to celebrate the victory, Majority leader in the Narok County Assembly Sonkoi Ole Lemein, who read the official results, thanked participants for a smooth exercise.

Ntutu swept votes in areas of East and North perceived as opposition zones.

Governor Ntutu who thanked the electorate for an impressive turnout in all the 30 wards to vote for him assured that party primaries in the remaining counties are workable under President William Ruto.

"I extend an olive branch to all Members of UDA in Narok, inviting them to join hands with us as we move forward. Together, we can build a stronger, more cohesive UDA Party," he said in a post on X.
