Wife among suspects arrested over murder of Migori man

Authorities in Migori County have arrested two people linked to the death of a middle-aged man allegedly murdered at his father-in-law's home in West Kamagambo location, Rongo Sub-County on Saturday night.

West Kamagambo location chief Charles Ayieko said the deceased identified as Otis was allegedly attacked by his in-laws when he went to demand his wife.

Mr Ayieko said while the attackers claim the deceased is a thief who stole a bicycle and a chicken, their preliminary investigations revealed he was attacked at his in-laws’.

He said the report they received indicated that the deceased was heard at his in-laws' home late in the night before he was found murdered.

“The deceased’s wife Mourine Ajwang’ is among the two suspects already arrested in connection to the killing. Police are still pursuing more suspects,” the chief said.

Ayieko said one of the suspects arrested was found in possession of a knife suspected to have been used in the killing.
