David Mwaure casts his vote

Agano Party Presidential candidate Waihiga Mwaure arrives at Upper Hill Secondary School polling station.

Presidential aspirant David Waihiga Mwaure has cast his vote at Upper Hill Secondary School polling station in Nairobi.

The Agano Party flagbearer walked into the polling station alongside his wife Ann Mwaure at around 7:15AM.

Upon entry into the station their biometrics were taken before proceeding to cast their votes in the respective ballot boxes.

Speaking to the press shortly after, Mwaure expressed confidence that he will clinch the presidency and urged Kenyans to vote peacefully throughout the polls.

"I am happy to have exercise my right to vote as a presidential candidate and I expect to win. I know Kenyans will vote for me," he said.

"For Kenyans, this is a golden opportunity to vote in new leaders. Let us take this process seriously and male an Obama moment out of it. Let us show up in huge numbers and vote peacefully."

Meanwhile Deputy President William Ruto, his running mate candidate Rigathi Gachagua and Martha Karua have already cast their votes in Sugoi, Mathira and Gichugu respectively.
