Viutravel rewards top 2022 KCPE candidate with 4-day holiday package

The top performing student in the 2022 KCPE exam has been rewarded with a four-day holiday package in Mombasa courtesy of Viu travel.

Lewis who landed in the coastal city with his family for the first time says the holiday has encouraged him to work harder as he prepares to join Alliance Boys High School. 

"I travelled by plane for the first time and it's also my first time in Mombasa, and am enjoying it here… the hotel is nice and I love the food,” Lewis said when Citizen Digital caught up with him at Plaza Beach Hotel.

This being his first time in Mombasa, Lewis says his hard work has been rewarded  and a trip to the coast has not only made them enjoy Swahili foods but has also given them the zeal to work harder.

Regina Aude, the mother to Lewis, expressed her pride for her son’s performance saying: “Hard work has been rewarded. Am so happy… sometimes its just spoken in words you never know it will come true.”

Plaza Beach Hotel manager John Gwaro thanked Viutravel for recognizing and rewarding Lewis for his effort, saying: “if someone performs well its best to reward them.”

Tourism stakeholders in Mombasa have lauded  Viu travel company saying their entry has also revolutionalised the domestic market and created competition in the tourism sector that is recovering from the effects of covid 19.

Meanwhile, at Flamingo Beach Hotel, Robert Gitonga from Meru and the winner of Citizen Digital at 1 is also celebrating his birthday courtesy of Viutravel.

He says this year’s birthday is unique adding that Viutravel has given him the opportunity to explore what the coastal beaches have to offer in January.
