VIDEO: Cut In The City, Bukusu community in Kawangware perform circumcision ritual

The Bukusu community in Nairobi’s Kawangware estate rose up early today to perform a ritual that would ordinarily be conducted far away in the villages of western Kenya. A chanting procession would escort a single boy to a river miles away and back to a field where he faced the knife, just a few hours after dawn.
