U.S. First Lady Jill Biden arrives in Kenya for three-day visit

United States First Lady Dr. Jill Biden has officially arrived in the country ahead of her three-day visit to Kenya.

Dr. Biden landed in the country from Namibia aboard the Executive One Foxtrot (EXEC1F) airplane which touched down at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) at around 4:30 pm.

First Lady Rachel Ruto received her U.S. counterpart at the JKIA upon her arrival. 

During her visit to Nairobi, the U.S. First Lady is expected to focus more on strengthening ties between the two nations, especially championing women's economic empowerment projects such as table banking.

Dr. Biden's visit is her sixth to the continent, the third to Kenya albeit her first as the First Lady Of the United States (FLOTUS).
