Two people rescued after car swept by floods in Narok

Two people have been rescued after their
vehicle was swept by flood waters while crossing a flooded culver section of
Sekenani-Narok road near the Esupetai area.
According
to a police report, members of the public retrieved the pair from the vehicle
which was submerged on Wednesday afternoon.
Narok
South Deputy County Commissioner and the Disaster Committee team arrived at the
scene where they coordinated the rescue exercise.
Movement
of vehicles was temporarily restricted until the water levels were reduced.
Residents
and motorists have since been urged to avoid flooded road sections during this
rainy season.
The vehicle
is still submerged awaiting towing services when the water subsides.
