Two people have died on the spot after a personal car they were travelling in plunged into Thwake River along Machakos-Kitui Road.
Kithangaini Sub-location Area Assistant Chief Stephen Mutua Ndambuki confirmed that the car had five passengers, with two dying on the spot and three surviving.
Two of the survivors have been rushed to Machakos Level 5 Hospital, while one who managed to escape ran away during the rescue operation.
