Two human trafficking suspects arrested after 58 Ethiopians found in Kitengela

Two human trafficking suspects were on Tuesday arrested after they were found holding 58 Ethiopians at a house in Kitengela, Kajiado County.

A police report indicated that Daniel Nduati Kingoo, 33, and Peter Maina Kimemia were found in the house together with the malnourished foreigners.

The report added that after interrogation by a multi-agency team, the Ethiopians intimated that they arrived at the house about 3 days ago awaiting transfer to South Africa.

According to the report, the youngest Ethiopian is aged 14 and the oldest is 35.

“28 aliens are in custody at Kitengela Police Station while the remaining 30 [were] escorted to Isinya Police Station,” read the report in part.

The two Kenyan suspects were also escorted to Muthaiga Police Station by officers from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI).

Meanwhile, two motorcycles recovered at the compound have been impounded at the Kitengela Police Station as exhibit.
