Two arrested for vandalizing SGR
Police on Saturday arrested two suspected criminals for allegedly breaking into a signal sub-station for the new Standard Gauge Railway and stealing 8 batteries used to power gadgets that send signals to the SGR Headquarters.
According to Mwatate Deputy County commissioner Ken Murungi, when the suspects broke into the sub-station, they managed to disconnect the batteries but the gadgets sent signals to the SGR headquarters immediately alerting police.
