Trans Nzoia nurses issue strike notice

The Kenya National Union of Nurses (KNUN), Trans Nzoia County branch, has criticized the county leadership for failing to implement a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) that was signed in the presence of County Labor Officer, Tawfig Nalianya.

The branch secretary, Edward Cheruyiot, stated that once the agreed 60-day period expires, all nurses will have no choice but to go on strike starting from the 25th of this month.

Cheruyiot also expressed frustration over the handling of the hiring of healthcare workers and the promotion of qualified staff.
