Police
are currently pursuing an unknown number of thugs who allegedly broke into
Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) Noordin Haji's residence in Riverside, Nairobi on Thursday
night.
According
to a police report seen by Citizen Digital, the unknown assailants gained entry
into the premises through the main gate before making their way to the main
house where they stole two Apple laptops, a 75-inch Samsung TV, a Sony
PlayStation 4, assorted shoes and two bags.
DPP
Haji's house helps, Yoseph Mutindi and Sidi Safari, alongside the public
prosecutor's children, were in the house at the time but none of them got wind
of the situation. Haji was not in the house.
A
sole police officer, Stephen Mutua, was reportedly on sentry duty at the
premises during the last night robbery.
Police have since processed and documented the scene pending further investigations by detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations.
