Three pupils among four people killed in Nyakach accident

The early morning accident occurred when a PSV matatu collided with a stationary lorry, resulting in a fatal impact.
Maina Mwangi, the Nyanza Regional Traffic Enforcement Officer, confirmed the incident, stating that the matatu's conductor was among those killed instantly.
Eight other passengers who suffered injuries were rushed to Nyabondo mission hospital for treatment.
Peres Auma Onyango, who is a witness, narrated how the accident happened, saying she heard a loud bang followed by screams of those asking for help.
The PSV matatu had a majority of students from Ober Junior Secondary School in Oyugis who had closed school and were heading home.
Rescuers who were nearby villagers helped police to rush those who were injured to the hospital during the 5:30 am incident.
Nyakach subcounty police commander Laurinius Odinga says the matter is already under investigation.
