Three family members shot dead, 3 others injured by bandits in Baringo

According to the area residents, the deceased, a father, a mother, and their young child were ambushed while heading to a pass-out ceremony in the area and sprayed with bullets.

The man died on the spot while the wife and her child succumbed to injuries as locals tried to rescue them.

Further reports indicate that three more people also were injured by the armed bandits and are receiving treatment at Baringo County Referral Hospital in Kabarnet.

The bodies of the deceased were also moved to Baringo County Referral Hospital mortuary.

Area MCA Michael Chebon has condemned the killings calling on security personnel to act swiftly and arrest the culprits to restore peace in the region.
