A Tanzanian national has been charged with meddling with the property of former Pepsi Director William Alfred Mulwa Mutilangi who died in New York in October 2023.

Bakari Kisalu Malanda is alleged that at unknown dates within Nairobi while not being an administrator to the deceased’s property, jointly with others not before court, intermeddled with a house within Green Park estate by occupying it illegally, without express authority.

Bakari pleaded not guilty before magistrate Bernard Ochoi and was released on a cash bail of Ksh.100,000.

Bakari claims he is the legitimate heir to Mulwa’s properties which are estimated at Ksh.500 million. A claim that Mulwas siblings have denied.
