Detectives are searching for more suspects accused of abducting and killing Wells Fargo Human Resource manager Willis Ayieko.

This even after the police on Tuesday night arrested two more suspects, raising the number to three in the ongoing probe.

Among the three include Victor Okoth Ouma who was arrested in Nairobi’s Dandora estate and was presented at the Siaya Law Courts on Wednesday.

Investigators were granted 21 days to detain the suspect as part of their probe. Police said Ouma was placed at the crime scene through forensic analysis.

He is also said to have made transactions via Ayieko’s mobile phone; the money was later withdrawn.

Police  ordered the vehicle to stop but the driver defied orders. This resulted in a fierce shoot out among the occupants and the officers.

After a moment, the vehicle swerved off the road as two male suspects escaped, but with gunshot wounds. Police said a woman who was part of the gang was left at the scene injured and was arrested.

In the vehicle, a Ceska pistol belonging to the late Ayieko was recovered. Investigators pursued the matter further, leading to the arrest of another woman.

“We made some arrests last night and we are still pursuing the other gang members. We also recovered a car and pistol…we are ongoing with the probe,” Director of Criminal Investigations (DCI) Amin Mohamed said.

Investigators say they are still pursuing other members of the gang believed to be six or seven in number, and operating along the Siaya-Luanda-Busia road.
