Suspect in murder of Nairobi Hospital Finance Director Eric Maigo is a teenager, DCI reveals
In a statement on Friday, DCI revealed that the images of the suspect shared across the internet on Thursday had led to the recovery of the clothes worn by the suspect at Bombolulu village in Kibra.
A further probe would later reveal the suspect is a girl aged between 15-17 years, named Ann Adhiambo, alias Nut. The detectives say she has since gone into hiding.
“The clothes a red checkered shirt and a grey pair of animal-print pants were found in a semi-permanent wooden shack in Bombolulu village, deep inside the sprawling Kibira settlement. The suspect who has since been identified as Ann Adhiambo alias Nut, is currently on the run and is believed to be between 15 to 17 years old," DCI said in a statement.
As the sleuths urge the public to help in identifying the suspect, they say that Adhiambo may have sat her KCPE examination at the Dagoretti-approved school between 2021 and 2022.
In another video, the woman is seen attempting to escape from the victim’s residence at Woodley Annex–Upper by scaling through the perimeter wall.
So far only one suspect has been arrested in connection with the gruesome murder. The suspect identified as Cynthia Lusega Andalo was arrested and arraigned under miscellaneous application on Monday afternoon where police were allowed to hold her for five days as investigations continue.
Detectives believe she might have knowledge or worked with the main suspect as they were together earlier on the night of Maigo’s murder in his Woodley house.
