Slain Wells Fargo Manager Willis Ayieko buried in Siaya as family demands justice
Relatives and friends of slain Wells Fargo manager Willis Ayieko have called for thorough investigations into his murder, dispelling claims that the deceased was killed during robbery.
Hundreds of mourners on Saturday thronged Ongiende in Alego, Siaya county to pay their last respects to the deceased.
Family and friends eulogised Ayieko for his strong sense of community and dedication to his family
"The humor and happiness and joy you brought into our lives will never be matched. I am a better person because of the person you were in our lives and I will always love you," said Esther Wagumba, Ayieko's widow.
"Willis loved us as sisters and I am a so happy because he got the best and anytime we were doing graduation and even when he had his wedding all of them were done in my house," Janet Ngonga, the deceased's sister, added.
Further, those present including leaders from the political divide decried the rampant insecurity witnessed in the country accusing investigative agencies of laxity in unearthing the motive behind Ayieko’s murder
"We must express our displeasure with these abductions and deaths and we blame the police because they are the ones giving Kenyans confidence that you can abduct and get away with it so we do not want theories we want the people who killed Ayieko not the ones who were sent," said Ugenya MP David Ochieng.
"The absence of security is either committed by the security forces or tolerated by security forces... so they must pull up their socks. The patterns in terms of killings are not ordinary," Rarieda MP Otiende Amollo added,
