Siaya: Panic as body of 78-year-old man found dumped in a quarry

Villagers made the grim discovery on Monday evening, where they discovered the elderly man's body naked, raising suspicion of foul play.

According to Area Assistant Chief Fredrick Warinda, the man is believed to have been murdered elsewhere and his body dumped in the quarry.

The incident was reported to the Wagai police station, prompting officers to visit the scene.

The body has since been transported to the Siaya County Referral Hospital mortuary for preservation, with a postmortem to determine the exact cause of death.

Chief Warinda confirmed that investigations are underway to uncover the circumstances surrounding the man’s death.
