Siaya man found dead in his house under mysterious circumstances

The deceased, identified only as Geoffrey, was found by a concerned friend who had not seen him since Thursday.

According to a police incident report, the friend decided to check on Geoffrey at his residence after he failed to appear throughout the day.

Upon arriving at the house, the friend found the door locked from the inside and detected a foul smell coming from within. Alarmed, he alerted neighbors and the police were subsequently called to the scene.

Officers responded promptly, broke down the door, and found Geoffrey's body lying on the floor. Police moved the body to the Siaya County Referral Hospital mortuary around 8:00 p.m. for preservation.

A postmortem examination is expected to be conducted as investigations are underway to determine the exact cause of death.
