Shock as pastor flees after allegedly killing wife, 5-year-old child in Meru

Police in Imenti South, Meru County, are looking for a man suspected to have killed his wife and 5-year old son.

The man, Boniface Mutuma, who is also said to be a pastor, is suspected to have stabbed the two in the neck, killing them before fleeing.

According to Mitunguu Deputy County Commissioner Richard Korn-goren, the incident happened on Saturday morning.

The child was found with the knife still on the neck, with neighbours saying the man has had a long feud with his wife since January this year.

The bodies have since been taken to Kanya-kine level 4 mortuary as investigations continue.
