Seven people killed, 5 others injured after bus rams car in Machakos

Seven people were on Tuesday killed in an accident involving a bus and a car at Kivandini area on the Matuu-Mwingi road.

According to a police report seen by Citizen Digital, the car was heading towards Mwingi when the driver lost control and it rolled several times.

The car was then rammed by the oncoming bus, which pushed it to the left side of the road.

The driver of the car and five of his passengers died on the spot, as well as one other passenger from the bus.

Five other passengers from the bus also sustained injuries and were rushed to the Matuu Level Four Hospital for treatment.

Bodies of the deceased were also taken to the same facility’s mortuary, while the vehicles have since been towed to the Matuu Police Station for inspection.
