Salasya, Lesuuda, Ndindi Nyoro among top ten young performing MPs
This is according to a research poll released by Infotrak, which indicates that MP Nyoro averaged a score of 70% topping the list of the top 10 performing young MPs in 2023.
Igembe South MP Paul Mwirigi was ranked second at 66% tying the position with Christoper Wangaya (Khwisero) and Salasya came in fourth with 64%.
Three MPs tied at 63% led by Lesuuda, followed by Francis Kuria (Molo) and Reuben Kiborek (Mogotio).
Ranking at the 8th position is Mukurweini MP John Kaguchia with 61%, Babu Owino (Embakasi East) came in 9th at 60% and Gideon Kipkoech (Keiyo South) tied the list at 59%.
Infotrak also ranked MP Nyoro as the top overall performing MP in Kenya followed by Kangema MP Peter Irungu.
John Mwrigi (Igembe South), Gideon Mulyungi (Mwingi Central), Christopher Wangaya (Khwisero), Rober Mbui (Kathiani) and George Kaluma (Homa Bay) tied for the third position.
The eighth position was also tied between Geoffrey Wandeto (Tetu) and James Githua (Kabete).
Infotrak says that the index was conducted between July and September 2023, covering all 47 counties with an overall sample of about 58,700 respondents.
Each county was treated individually and assigned a cluster sample which ranged between 619 and 3,400 respondents guided by the population and number of wards in the respective counties.
The first survey was conducted
between July and August involving 36,200 participants and the second one, which involved 22,500 participants, was conducted to boost the sample size to ensure that each subcounty had at least 200 respondents.
