Nairobi Governor Johnson Sakaja and the County Executive marked Valentine’s Day with visits to various primary schools where the Dishi na County school feeding program is in operation.
The Governor also took the opportunity to share meals with residents across different sub-counties.
A particularly sentimental moment came when Governor Sakaja visited Aga Khan Primary School—his alma mater.
Reflecting on his journey from student to Governor, he described the experience as one of deep gratitude and personal significance.
“I am happy to be here with you this Valentine’s Day. Returning to my former school—not as a student, but as your Governor—to share a meal and celebrate this special day is truly meaningful,” he said.
He also reaffirmed his commitment to addressing challenges at the school.
“I have heard about the issues facing this institution—one that I proudly attended as a student in 1991. Now, as your Governor, I will ensure we work together to resolve them,” he assured.
