 Sakaja makes new appointments, announces reassignment of seven CECs

Nairobi Governor Johnson Sakaja on Thursday made two fresh appointments to the County Executive while announcing the reassignment of seven members who sit on the Committee.

In a circular dated July 13, Sakaja announced that Dr. Stephen Gachie will serve as the Committee's Economic Affairs Advisor while Bernard Kioko has been named Creative Economy Advisor.

Maureen Njeri, who served as the head of the Green Nairobi sector, has been transferred to the Business and Hustler Opportunities docket while Patrick Mbogo will now lead the Boroughs, Administration and Personnel department after initially leading the Mobility and Works unit.

Rosemary Kariuki will take charge of the Talent, Skills and Care division following her stint as the head of the Business and Hustler Opportunities unit.

Ibrahim Auma Nyangoya will replace Njeri as the head of Green Nairobi. He previously headed the Boroughs, Administration and Personnel department.

Dr Anastasia Nyalita has been moved from the Health, Wellness and Nutrition docket to the Inclusivity, Public Participation and Customer Service unit.

Brian Mulama will succeed Mbogo as the chair of the Mobility and Works office from the Talent, Skills and Care Unit.

Charles Kerich, Stephen Gathuita Mwangi and Michael Magero Gumo have been retained as the heads of the Finance and Economic Affairs, Built Environment and Urban Planning and Innovation and Digital Economy dockets. 

All the changes and appointments take effect immediately.
