Safaricom's Sambaza Furaha caravan spreads holiday cheer across Ukambani, Coast regions
On Monday morning, residents of Masii in Machakos County erupted into song and dance as the Safaricom Sambaza Furaha Caravan was flagged off in the Ukambani region.
Customers who gathered at the Masii market were delighted to receive gifts ranging from T-shirts and food items to goats and chickens, as Safaricom extends its generosity during this festive season, giving back to the community and its loyal customers.
Karen Kwamboka, a resident of Masii, shared her joy:
"Safaricom has come to Masii, and I’ve received a gift. I’m so happy because I’m a businesswoman."
Faith Mbatha, another Masii resident, added,
"I’m so happy. I’ve received a blanket, a T-shirt, and a chicken. Safaricom has enabled us."
The Safaricom Sambaza Furaha Caravan also made stops in Kabati and Kitui Town, where residents were similarly showered with gifts.
Joyce Matuve, a Kabati resident, expressed her appreciation, and Safaricom took the opportunity to educate its customers about its services and platform.
Jackson Mutua, the Regional Business Lead for the Coast, emphasized the importance of safe and secure internet use:
"In this Christmas season, we are educating our customers about online scams. Safaricom ensures that our customers get the best value."
Musyi FM and Radio Citizen presenters who joined the Safaricom team entertained the crowd while spreading awareness.
Tina Ogall, Acting Head of Radio at Radio Citizen, remarked: "This is the climax of the caravan this week."
The Safaricom Sambaza Furaha Caravan is set to continue its tour with stops in Machakos Town, Kathiani, Kangundo, Joska, and Kamulu on Tuesday.
