Safaricom Sambaza Furaha caravan extends Christmas cheer to Tharaka Nithi
The Sambaza Furaha na
Safaricom caravan has crossed into Tharaka Nithi County, after successful tours
of Murang'a, Nyeri, Laikipia, and Meru counties.
The caravan, which has
been on a customer recognition journey, has been characterized by giveaways to
users as it celebrates 24 years of service to Kenyans.
The populous
Gakoromone open market in Meru County was the first stop for the caravan as it made
its way through the scenic Meru slopes, making a stop in Mitunguu, where more
customers were rewarded.
“Our shop in Meru
attracts very many customers and on average wanachukua kama 40 minutes kupata
huduma so we are opening alternative points,” Bernard Muhindi from Safaricom
said.
Head of Strategic
Execution at CEO's Office Peter Muchangi added, “Tumekuja kuwapa Christmas mapema
wafurahie tukiungana nao.”
The caravan, which is
a partnership between the giant telco and Royal Media Services, also provided
Muuga FM fans an opportunity to meet their favorite presenters, with Christmas
coming early for some.
The caravan, which is
in celebration of Safaricom’s 24th anniversary, will visit Runyenjes, Embu
town, Kutus, Kerugoya, Kagio, and Mwea, as it winds down the six-day excursion
of the Mount Kenya region.
