Rwandan man arrested over phone theft in Mombasa
Detectives from the Directorate of Criminal
Investigations (DCI) said they arrested Ndaziziye Augustin Umurundi at his
residence after intelligence reports.
“A thorough search of the premises
uncovered a trove of ten mobile phones and a power bank, all believed to be
pilfered,” police said.
“Among the recovered devices, detectives
successfully identified three phones and linked them to their rightful owners.”
Detectives said they are analysing the other
devices to identify their owners while Ndaziziye is in custody awaiting arraignment.
