Ruto mourns victims of Washington DC plane crash

President William Ruto has mourned victims of an air accident in Washington, D.C. in the United States.

“Our thoughts and prayers are with the victims of the terrible air accident in Washington, D.C.,” Ruto said.

Taking to X, Ruto prayed for strength to the families, President Donald Trump and the people of the United States following the tragic incident.

“May the Almighty give strength to the families, President Donald Trump and the people of the United States of America during this difficult moment,” he added.

This is after a passenger jet with 64 people onboard collided midair with a military Black Hawk helicopter near Ronald Reagan Washington airport.

So far, at least 19 bodies have reportedly been recovered by the authorities.

An extensive search and rescue operation is currently underway at the Potomac River.
