Ruto appoints former governor Granton Samboja to Gov't

The appointment was made through a Gazette Notice no.6470 under the State Corporations Act.
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 6 (1) (a) of the State Corporations Act, I, William Samoei Ruto, President of the Republic of Kenya and Commander-in-Chief of the Defence Forces, appoint, Granton Samboja to be the Non-Executive Chairperson of the Board of Directors of the Pyrethrum Processing Company of Kenya, for a period of three (3) years, with effect from the 23rd May, 2025,” read the notice.
Samboja will be in office for three years as the Non-Executive Chairperson.
Granton Samboja, a Kenyan politician and media executive, served as the second governor of Taita Taveta County from 2017 to 2022.
The headquarters of the Pyrethrum Processing Company of Kenya are located in the Industrial Area of Nakuru.
President Ruto also appointed Lieutenant General Adan K. Mulata to be the Non-Executive Chairperson of the National Youth Service Council.
“Appointment in exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 (2) (a) of the National Youth Service Act, I, William Samoei Ruto, President of the Republic of Kenya and Commander-in-Chief of the Defence Forces, appoint - Adan K. Mulata (Lieutenant General (Rtd.) to be the Non-Executive Chairperson of the National Youth Service Council, for a period of three (3) years, with effect from the 23rd May, 2025,” read the notice.
