African Development Community SADC Organ Troika.
President Suluhu was elected to the critical position at the 44th ordinary
SADC Summit Heads of State and Government held in Zimbabwe.

the position, which is mandated with strengthening security, effecting robust
governance, and regional prosperity.
“Hongera Mhe. Rais Dkt. Samia kwa kuteuliwa kuwa Mwenyekiti wa

SADC gives Troika authority to take quick decisions on behalf of
SADC that would ordinarily be taken at policy meetings scheduled at regular
intervals.
Troika is also bestowed the power to provide policy direction to
SADC institutions in between regular SADC Summits.
The chairperson role is occupied for a one-year period and was previously
