Rural electrification to reach every Kenyan home - Energy CS Opiyo Wandayi

Speaking in Meru and Kirinyaga counties during President William Ruto’s development tour, Wandayi emphasized that no region would be excluded from the initiative.
“We will ensure that every Kenyan can access electricity in their home. There will be no discrimination in power distribution,” said CS Wandayi.
As part of the tour, the government unveiled the Nkuene Sub-Station in Imenti South, a key project under the Ministry of Energy aimed at enhancing power supply in the region.
“This programme will be rolled out across the entire country,” Wandayi added.
President Ruto and his delegation also inaugurated a rural electrification project in Kagio, Kirinyaga County to expand electricity access.
