Ruaka: Two suspected robbers shot dead, one cop injured in shootout

The two, together with two others who escaped with bullet wounds, were attempting to rob a local supermarket in Ruaka town on Tuesday.

Kiambaa sub-county police commander Phineas Ringera said an police officer was injured in the mid-morning shootout with the gang.

Ringera confirmed that one pistol was recovered alongside four live and seven used cartridges.

The injured officer was taken to Nairobi West Hospital while a manhunt for the two who escaped is underway.
