Recruits, soldiers flee after bees invade KDF recruitment exercise in Kwale
Hundreds of would-be recruits and KDF soldiers came face to face with an unprecedented foe- a swarm of bees- on Thursday, forcing them to flee the Vigurungani grounds in Kwale where a recruitment exercise was underway.
There were over 500 recruits who had assembled at the grounds, ready for a grueling day and shot at joining the KDF.
According to reports, at around 11a.m, a swarm of bees invaded the stadium, forcing everyone- including KDF soldiers- to flee
Saidi Idd Ndurya who was among 500 others taking a shot at ongoing recruitment said the activity had come to a sudden halt as the swarm of bees is yet to leave the grounds.
A video making rounds online showed hundreds of people taking flight, apparently fleeing from the deadly insects.
