PSC shortlists 477 applicants for PS positions, interviews to begin next week

The Public Service Commission (PSC) has
shortlisted 477 candidates out of over 9,000 applicants for the recent advertised Principal Secretaries (PS) job
position.
The PSC,
in a statement to newsrooms on Thursday, noted that all the shortlisted
candidates will be interviewed in a two-week period beginning October 12-22,
2022.
“The
Commission shortlisted 477 applicants out of 9,154 that applied for the
positions whose application deadline had been extended from 20th to 27th September 2022,” read
the statement signed by Corporate Communications officer Browne Kutswa.
“Selection
interviews to fill the advertised positions of Principal Secretaries in the
public service will be held from 12th to 22nd of October 2022.”
The
commission said that the list containing the full names will be published on
its website and later in local dailies on Friday, October 7, 2022.
PSC
further noted that interviews will be conducted in Nairobi before the final
list of successful candidates is forwarded to President William Ruto for appointment.
“The
Commission has invited members of the public to send their views on the
suitability of the shortlisted candidates to head state departments in the
public service by email to psinterviews2022@publicservice.go.ke before the date
of interview as part of public participation in the recruitment process,” Kutswa
noted.
