Program for Moi’s final send-off at Kabarak home

The burial service for the late Daniel Arap Moi is underway at his Kabarak home with area residents and leaders present for the ceremony.
Mourners started streaming into the compound as early as 3.00a.m on Wednesday and were settled inside the tents by 6.a.m.
Officers from the National Youth Service (NYS) distributed loaves of bread and soda to the first 30,000 mourners.
Moi’s casket left the Wilson Airport aboard a Kenya Airforce helicopter at 7.45a.m and arrived at his home a few minutes past 8.30a.m.
Leaders at the burial service include President Uhuru Kenyatta; Mama Ngina Kenyatta, DP William Ruto; ODM leader Raila Odinga; Senate Speaker Kenneth Lusaka; DPP Noordin Haji; CSs Fred Matiang’i, Monica Juma, George Magoha and Raychelle Omamo.
Others are retired Archbishop Eliud Wabukhala, Laikipia Governor Ndiritu Muriithi, KDF Chief of Defense Forces Samson Mwathethe, Wilson Sossion, Belio Kipsang and others.
