Probe on as eight bodies, 12 body parts retrieved from Kware dumpsite
Governor Sakaja said his administration was going to offer the neccessary support to the family of the decedents as well as residents of Kware who are still reeling from the shocking incident
"We have mobilized our resources to help the families of the victims once they are identified, including providing psychological support and counselling at the funeral home," Governor Sakaja stated.
Sakaja emphasized that the county disaster management team is actively working with and supporting the affected families alongside other government authorities.
He also appealed for calm as the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) continues its probe to identify those responsible for these heinous acts.
In a joint press address on Sunday, Acting Inspector General of Police Douglas Kanja and Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) Director Mohamed Amin assured the public that investigations into the killings are ongoing, and some persons of interest have been identified.
