Police in Migori
County are investigating the circumstances in which a fire razed the county
assembly store on Wednesday evening.
The fire broke out around 6 p.m. Suna East Sub County police commander Ezekiel Kiche said preliminary investigations established that a county assembly employee was burning waste at the waste collection point when the fire spread to the store.
Kiche said the
makeshift store was consumed by fire before the county firefighting machine put it
out.
The sub-county police
boss added that property of unestablished value was destroyed.
