President Ruto to begin 5-day tour of Western Kenya on Saturday
President
William Ruto on Friday evening landed at the Kakamega airstrip in anticipation
of his five day development tour of the larger Western Kenya region starting on
Saturday.
President
Ruto was received by Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi, Kakamega
Governor Fernandes Barasa, Senator Boni Khalwale, among other local leaders and
government officials.
The
Head of State, according to an itinerary seen by Citizen Digital, will begin
his tour with Busia and Kakamega counties
He will
launch a landing site in Budalang’i at 9am, and thereafter open the county
referral hospital in Busia town at 11am.
President
Ruto will then, at 1pm, make a stop at the Alupe University in Teso South
Constituency, and afterwards launch the affordable housing agenda at Milimani
in Lurambi Constituency at 3pm.
