President
William Ruto on Tuesday chaired a Cabinet meeting at the Kakamega State Lodge in
Kakamega County.
The
meeting is a part of Ruto’s tour of the western Kenya region which entered the
fourth day on Tuesday. He is flanked by Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua and Prime
Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi.
Trade Cabinet Secretary Moses Kuria early morning shared a video online of him boarding a boda boda to the cabinet meeting, captioning it, “Time stamp 6:20 AM. On my way for [sic] the cabinet meeting in Kakamega County. Mapema ndio Best.”

Kuria has previously been put on the spot by the president for lateness.
Ruto’s
packed day will also see him inspect Emuhaya Hospital before crossing over to
Vihiga County for a ground-breaking ceremony of the affordable housing scheme
in Vihiga Constituency.
According
to an itinerary by the president’s team, the Head of State is also set to commission
the CT Scan Centre at Vihiga County Referral Hospital and later inspect the Gisambai-Hamisi-Shamakhokho
Road before launching two theatres at Hamisi Sub-County Hospital.
The
president will late in the afternoon launch the construction of
Mago-Mululu-Lusui Road in Sabatia.
The
last cabinet meeting was held at the Sagana State Lodge in Nakuru on August 8.
