President Ruto appoints Selection Panels to recruit new SRC, IPOA bosses

President William Ruto has appointed Selection Panels to recruit Chairpersons and members of four Constitutional Commissions and independent offices.

The said bodies are: Salaries and Remuneration Commission (SRC), the Commission on Administrative Justice (CAJ)/ Office of the Ombudsman, the National Gender and Equality Commission (NGEC), and the Independent Policing Oversight Authority (IPOA).

“These Selection Panels are appointed in accordance with nominations from professional bodies, organisations, institutions, and State Offices that constitute the statutory membership of selection panels for recruitment to the specific Constitutional Commissions and Independent Offices,” Head of Public Service Felix Koskei said in a statement.

The various panels of the four bodies have hence been constituted as follows:

FCPA Patrick Mtange - Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK)

Monica Sifuna - Kenya Institute for Public Policy Research and Analysis (KIPPRA)

CHRP Quresha Abdullahi - Institute of Human Resource Management

Amos Gathecha - Principal Secretary, State Department for Public Service

Mary Kimonye - Executive Office of the President

Lawrence Kibet - The National Treasury & Economic Planning

Samuel Kaumba - Office of the Attorney General

FCPA Edwin Makori - Association of Professional Societies in East Africa (APSEA)

Zena Atetwe Jalenga - National Council for Persons with Disabilities

Jasper Mbiuki - Executive Office of the President
